After a few moments though the screens finally cut out and shift to one of the cameras that was now focusing on the Announcer, floating on high in his chair pod and looking ever cool with his sunglasses, spiky blond hair, purple suit, and HUGE red bowtie! He brings the microphone up to his mouth with one hand, holding his other arm hooked with a fist. "Ladies and gentlement, sorry to keep you waiting! The next battle for this round is ready to go, so let's get the deuses out here and get the show on the road!" He takes a pause to allow the crowd to cheer and take their seats before continuing.

"This round we have two faces new to the tournamnet scene, what sort of show will the give us? I bet it will be exciting and filled with drama! In the West corner, the deus is Ischiko Naokirou with his angel, Yukino!" A slight pause given for reactions before moving on here, "aa~aannnd his opponent, in the East corner, the deus is Hei Yuu. . ." The Announcer stops here and does a double take at his card for a moment. "Ahem, yes, Hei Yuu and his angel Shin! Let's give these two a big round of applause as they make their way out into the arena!"

Hei notices the boy across the way catching glances at him and gives him a friendly smile.

Hei watches as an attendant enters into the waiting room and looks at her clipboard. After a moments pause she calls out, "Hei Yuu." and looks around at those in the waiting room.

Hei stands up and approaches the attendant saying in a quite voice, "Umm.. Thats me." She looks over at him and smiles and chimes, "Its time for your round, just follow the hallway."

Hei nods and thanks the attendant and then briskly walks down the hall.

Naokirou stands abruptly when the woman with the clipboard appears, raking his hair away from his eyes loosely and wandering towards the attendant, smiling at her while she asks his name, "Ischiko Naokirou." Naturally, she smiles back and checks him off, "You're up, too." She points her pencil towards the hallway, and Naokirou heads on out after her.

Hei emerges onto the arena floor, pausing just as he enters to steal a glance at the cheering crowds, lights, and finally his seat where he continues to. He climbs into his seat without pause and then begins to look across the layer to see if his apponent is ready. In his last moments he takes a chance to whisper a few words to his angel, Shin, then returns his gaze across the layer to his apponents seat. This is his first tournament, but for some reason he finds himself much more excited then nervous, perhaps he has yet to feel the full effect of the cheering crowds, or the fact that his is currently on TV being watched by countless people.

By contrast, the pale, thin figure that emerges soon after Hei looks as if the entire crowd is awkwardly balanced on his shoulders, curled forward in a somewhat nervous fashion while he hugs his Angel to his chest. He is startled by being singled out by a spotlight, blushing heatedly before he moves towards his own seat and a quick, clipped gait, just trying to get there. He's not much for showmanship, it seems, hardly waving or bowing to the crowd, but once he's safely ensconced within his own chair, he does lift his head and spare a smile for his opponent across the field. He lifts his Angel and sets it neatly on the edge of the layer, not yet tossing him into play, of course, but more or less introducing him in a subtle fashion to Hei and anyone else who might want to see.

The cameras follow each Naokirou and Yuu as they walk towards their seats, watching every movement they make as they mount their seats. With both of them apprently ready to go, the Announcer gives a nod and grins a bit before calling out into the microphone, "This battle will take place on one of the many wonderful fields our Angelic Layer, Inc. programmers have come up with, let's see what we get!" There is a flourish of his hand before he points down at the layer below, all cameras focusing upon it as the lights kick up even more brightly.

The brightly lit layer flickers and flashes, many different scenes passing over its surface, a peaceful mountain valley in a sea of grass, an open field of rye, a nice warm and cozy looking beach, and various others before it finally settles down. The stage appeared to be covered high in soft white snow and hard ice, while rough winds kick up the loose wet frozen ground in blow it around. It almost looked like a full on blizzard! "It is the frozen and snowy artic, with fierce winds raging over the land! How will our angels fair on this most harsh of landscapes? There's only one way to find out! Angels, FA~AAAALLLL IN!" It was now time to fall-in, and the crowd was obviously cheering loudly!

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "WOOOOOO!!! YEAH!!! GO NAOKI-CHAN!!!"
In the audience, you hear a female voice shouting, "Come on, Hei, you can do it!"

Hei holds his angel out in front of him, and with a final glance and smile at Shin he give a large sweeping throw and calls out, "Against all odds, climb to your true potential! Shin!" Shin flies through the air and into the layer with a ripple of the border. Shin then comes to life curling into a ball and spining a few times before he finally lands in the snow, croutched on all fours. Shin's head then slowly tilts up so white lights can be seen from the eye slits in his mask. Hei lets out a breath of air at this thinking that all those hours of training his fallin pose paid off, he managed to pull it off in a respectable manner, no one would know he had intended him to land on only his feet.

Naokirou picks Yukino up and hugs him close for a moment, patting him on the head before he lifts a hand and tosses the Angel lightly out over the layer, "Do your best, Yukino-kun!" The Angel strikes the border, creating that tell-tale whisper, and falls limply towards the snowy field before, abruptly, his eyes open and light up brightly. He falls like a star, growing brighter and brighter, until he's nothing more than a twisting ball of light that hits the snow like a meteor, the light bursting apart in the rush of a delicate whirlwind. From the partially melted snow, Yukino stands with glowing gold orbs whirling around him before sinking into his wristbands, smiling wryly at Shin while he pulls down his visor. Like some kind of magical girl transformation gone wrong, the Angel's battle appearance is a drastic change, but he certainly looks ready to fight.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Wooo!!!!"
In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Lets get this party started!"

The Announcer grins as the angels make their way into the layer, and then adjusts his sunglasses a bit before pointing high into the sky. "Oh ho! Spectacular entries! And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! ANGELIC FIGHT-o!" With that the timer begins counting down, indicating the match has begun, all that was left now was to battle it out until a victor was declared!

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "YEAH!!!! Bring on the violence!!"

On the layer, Shin abruptly charges forward, remaining close to the ground, without a words notice. He keeps his arms at right angles pointed toward Yukino, his razorblade fingers outstretched. As he closes in he angles his attack towards Yukino's left leg with a large arcing swipe, but then just at the last moment he redirects his momentum to the his left and makes a quick thrust with his free hand towards his opponents chest as he passes by.

On the layer, Yukino seems to have been off put by the suddenness of Shin's attack, the Angel shaking off snow that lands on his shoulders before he finds himself with the other Angel right in front of him. He jumps backwards, the strike towards his leg drawing blood, but then he's flipping backwards smoothly, sliding through the snow when he takes his feet again in a crouch, glaring at Shin through his visor, the chest strike missing him entirely.

Yukino seems to have been off put by the suddenness of Shin's attack, the Angel shaking off snow that lands on his shoulders before he finds himself with the other Angel right in front of him. He jumps backwards, the strike towards his leg drawing blood, but then he's flipping backwards smoothly, sliding through the snow when he takes his feet again in a crouch, glaring at Shin through his visor, the chest strike missing him entirely. Rather than linger in his imitation of a shocked rabbit, the spiky haired angel digs in his feet and takes off after Shin, lifting his hands towards his chest as one of those glowing orbs reappears. Using the snow around him, he dodges sharply to the side and past the other angel, seeking to slam the impromptu yo-yo, as the silvery string now identifies it, right into the back of Shin's head as he rockets past him.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "WOOO! Yeah!! Go Yukino-san!! Kick him in the Shin!"
In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Duck!!"

Shin, seeing the frontal assult prepares to deflect the attack off his armor, but only just at the last moments does he realize the ball of energy was sent past him only to come back at his head. Only at the last moment does he swing his arm around to attempt not taking on the full force of the attack. The ball off energy then explodes upon contact with the armored plating on his forarm sending sliding back several feet through the snow. Shin, grunting the speaks in a metallic monotone voice, "Impressive. I am glad to have such a... remarkable angel as my first apponent." and with that lunges forward trowing his full weight behind him as he thrust with bladed fingers.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Take him down!"

Shin drops down low out of the way and continues the momentum of Yukino's manuever, twisting around just underneath the strikes target area and makes a quick thrust of his free hand towards Yukino's gut.

Yukino is caught in the gut, but the Angel dives backwards quickly enough that it doesn't knock the air out of him. Rather than simply flopping onto his back, he curves backwards, leaving his feet where they are. His hands plant themselves into the snow to seek stability while his leg comes up sharply, bent and aimed for Shin's face. He snaps it out, hips rotating smoothly while he aims his shin directly for the side of the other Angel's head.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Shin in the Shin!"

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Yeah yeah!!! Break his head open! Woo!"
In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Bury him!"

Shin falls back just as Yukino's foot taps his mask and plants his hands in the snow. As he continous his flip he throws a trumendous amount of force behind his knees, both together acting as one to cover more area, which continues upwards wards Yukino's outstretch leg.

Yukino is too fast for Shin, it would seem, as he quickly withdraws his leg only to roll forward onto it into something of a kneel, that strange yoyo of his, in a rapid movement that makes it little more than a golden blur, is whipped around one wrist and snapped from the other, aimed towards Shin's knees.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, ""Take him down!"
In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Watch out!!"

Shin suddenly contracts his body to avoid the strange ball of energy, collapsing down onto all fours. The energy ball harmlessly flies by overhead. Tilting his head slightly to the side as he gazes over at Yukino from the snow bank he is in his metallic voice chimes out, "What a parcular weapon.." He then fires himself toward his opponent and brings both of his clawed hands in arcs towards Yukino's neck.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Get him Shin!"
In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Watch out Yukino!"

Yukino bounces away from that arching claw, stretching once more so that he can lightly flip away from Shin, the wind whipping around him as he does it, until he once again sinks into the snow, crouched and peeking over it at Shin. He is struck by a chunk of ice, blood trickling from his cheek, but, otherwise, he's managed to remain entirely unharmed, not responding to Shin's comment other than to stare at him intently, waiting for his next move.

Shin lands in a decently shallow area of snow, considering the overall conditions, and chuckles in his monotone voice then chimes, "Come. come." His eyes glowing slightly brighter as he does so, a faint ting of enjoyment rides on the words of his metallic voice.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "You tell em Shin!"

Yukino responds with a sharp frown before it changes into an equally dangerous smile, "Here I come." He pushes out of his crouch and darts towards Shin, using his speed to keep from sinking too far into the snow as he runs. He looks as if he's just going to charge straight into Shin, but, all at once, he seems to fall forward. Rather than simply falling, though, he is, instead, dropping into another flip, closing the space between them so that, when he comes near enough, he can drop straight down into a kneel and throw his yoyo once more. The energy ball expands, though, becoming a thin oval sword that strikes for Shin's stomach.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Go Yukino!"

The unexpected attack catches Shin off guard, the oval sword catching him in the side of the stomach penetrating his armor with ease. With a grunt of pain, and now icy blue eyes, Shin steps towards Yukino without regard the blade and sends a bladed hand in an upward swipe attempting to slash both his torso and head.

Yukino grins brightly up at Shin even as that hand comes down towards him - and then he's gone, leaving Shin to slash through the vaporous image left in his wake. The speed isn't lost, however, as he reappears behind the other Angel, the yoyo in his hand expanding in a small shield that he promptly slams into the other Angel's back, right between the shoulderblades.

In the audience, you hear a male voice shouting, "Woo!"

The blade to his stomach likely was the fatal blow for Shin, but it is the final shield slam that finished the match. Shin's eyes fade out and he crumples down into the snow.

After all is said and done, and Shin is no longer able to fight, the announcer picks the microphone back up and yells out, "Yukino... WIN!" The crowd goes all cheery and happy because they got a nice show out fo it.

Hei grips his pants tightly and puts his head down for a few moments then it lifts again facing Naokirou and says with a smile, "I hope to play you again another time. It was a good match."

Naokirou throws his hands up in an abrupt and silent cheer as the other angel goes down, only to smile brightly at Hei, "It was a good match! I'll see you at the Piffle some time, yeah?" He takes the headset off himself, setting it down in its holder and waiting for the barrier to dissolve so he can fetch his angel.

Hei also removes his headset and then quickly goes to retrieve Shin from layer as the scenery dissolves. Picking him up gingerly he holds him close and makes his way briskly out of the arena.

Hei takes Shin from Layer.

Tatsu looks up in Hei. "Good match" Shyly rubs the back of his head. "It was amazing to watch"

Naokirou comes into the waiting room from the arena.

Hei smiles at Tatsu, "I've learned a great deal from the match. We will both become stronger because of it. Thank you for your kind words."

Tatsu grins and nods. "Good luck in your next round"

Kokoro has been far too nervous to do much watching. She nods her head though at the people talking agreeing with them both.

Hei says, "And you with yours! May it lead you to new heights regardless of outcome."

Hei smiles and returns Kokoro's nod, "Goodluck, have fun!"
Tatsu smiles thankfully. "Thanks! Well, I guess I better get ready." Shakes out his nervousness
